It appears that an update was released for the Mac only, but was taken down from the website.

I called into tech support and they verified that they had found an issue with the installer and removed the update immediately to fix the issue.

This morning I was working with a client that was having a series of strange issue with regards to how Finale was running and after a few minutes of typical trouble shooting, it was clear that something more than normal was afoot. There has been a change in the process of making a mid-measure clef in the new release of Finale. Before you could double-click on the measure with the Clef Tool and then click on a checkbox to create this. With Finale 2008, you can select a region (even a partial measure) to create a clef change with the Clef Tool.
